The room is spacious with enough space between the twin beds. The bathroom is also quite spacious with separate bath tub and shower. The decor can do with a bit of refurbishing. All in all, the room is quite comfortable. The bus stop at the entrance of the road offers quite a wide selection of bus routes.
What a great experience. We stayed for almost 10 nights and it was perfect. With Hong Kongs super easy transit system, the distance between this hotel and downtown is minimized. Hotel will also shuttle you into town as needed. So great. Jenny was so much help to us and we cant wait to come back and visit. Breakfast was great every morning and it was good to see kids learning along the way. Everyone very helpful. We also enjoyed high tea here. Overall excellent value and experience.
Amazingly huge, well-kept room and great, friendly service. Had a lot of fun being able to observe staff in training and loved being a part of their training. The location is not central but my family preferred the views and cleaner air away from the center. The bus stop right near the hotel was very convenient to get everywhere, average 30 minutes to most places you'd want to go. One area of improvement to make staying here more attractive and enjoyable for tourists: create a nice lounge area and more dessert and drink options so that people will want to hang out in your hotel for a late night drink or dessert after returning from the center.
Second time staying here, it's wonderful! All the students and staffs are super courteous and polite. Room is huge even for 3 people, will never find that in HK. The dinning room has a awesome ocean view. The breakfast is buffet style with decent selection, like omelette station, fresh bread, congee and noodle... Location is off the beaten path, but bus stop is just a min walk away with bus and mini bus to pretty much everywhere.
We had a really great time staying here for 6 nights as we explored Hong Kong. The staff are all trainees, and while some patience is needed when making requests, they all have a positive attitude and will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Breakfast was a bit limited in choice but fresh and delicious. Rooms were very spacious and remarkably clean. We will definitely stay here again when in Hong Kong!
It's a hotel for training those going into hospitality and management. Know that going in, don't expect word class service. It's a hotel with students bumbling along, trying to remember the placement of the forks and knives, and how to handle baggage. But amidst it all is a hotel with great amenities, a gorgeous view, and a very affordable rate.
Just be careful that Pokfulam is a bit removed from the city area, it's on the top of a windy mountain and buses down may sometimes be a bit more thrilling than they should be.
I stayed at this hotel when I came to Hong Kong to sit a very important medical examination. As a doctor I often have to travel unsociable hours. I am very impressed with this hotel; the staff and trainees are well groomed, professional, fluent English and the hotel is shiny (better than some wards I've worked in! It was medically clean) Doors were opened, guidance was given. The room is stunning, ambient, good lighting and the best sleep I've had in a while. I put this hotel up there with the Rex in Saigon, Phoenix in Yogyakarta and Crown in Melbourne. It's not hard to get to A10-from airport goes straight past its doors. Up the road are some restaurants with a view, pharmacy, shops of any kind and beach is nearby. Do yourself a favour and stay here. Thanks to Tony for wheeling my bag.
Loved our stay at The Hotel. While it is a training hotel, the staff is very courteous and professional.
Breakfast is great and the accompanying view in the dining room is truly remarkable.
The hotel is a bit aways from the core but there is a shuttle and public transportation is plentiful (15 minute bus ride to Central where the MTR will take you to almost any corner of HK)
Rooms are large (for HK) and well equipped. The harbour view is worth the upgrade.
Will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!
